Changemaking – The power of the school community
As a result of the talk Protagonismo na Educação: Por uma Sociedade de Sujeitos Transformadores (Protagonism in Education: For a Society of Transformative Individuals), which took place in November 2016 in São Paulo, this book aims at shedding light on the discussion about protagonism in education.
In the following articles architects, sociologists, educators, students, journalists and other actors committed to the construction of a fairer, more sympathetic and friendly reality express their viewpoints regarding what it means to be a protagonist and how protagonism unfolds among children and young adults. Each author took part in the talk, and they also provide important input to the discussion about the role of the educator and the school in enhancing protagonism within the school community.
